ANDRÉ KLIP is Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and the Transnational Aspects of Criminal Law at Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and a judge at the's-Hertogenbosch Court of Appeal (criminal division). CHRISTINA PERISTERIDOU is Assistant Professor of Criminal Law and Procedure at Maastricht University, the Netherlands and a member of the bar of Thessaloniki (Greece).
