Thor A Rain, MA Hons Dip.Clin.Hyp.NLP.Coach.EFT (They/Them)
Thor A Rain is a health activist, pain and fatigue specialist, and social entrepreneur. For over a decade, they've helped thousands of people manage and improve their physical, mental, and social health. They're uniquely qualified to do so. They recovered from complex PTSD, ME/CFS, and Fibromyalgia - having been told by doctors that they'd never get well.
It was during their recovery that Thor developed the First Aid for Feelings method, including the ABC technique and the First Aid Kit for Feelings. Once recovered they completed a Master's degree and a clinical diploma, which included Clinical Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Coaching. Working with patients, Thor realised that the First Aid for Feelings method was helpful to others. After working with this method in consultations since 2010, Thor taught the first workshop in 2013.
Galvanised by patients' successes, Thor set up a social enterprise in 2015 to help others, called The Helpful Clinic. The clinic's social mission is to improve people's health and well-being by increasing health and emotional literacy. We do this through consultations, workshops, meditations on the Insight Timer platform, and publications like this First Aid for Feelings Manual.
