This is a basically bibliographical approach to the importance of real estate registration in guaranteeing property rights in Brazil. The main objective is to carry out a legal analysis of the reliability of real estate registration and how, through the qualification of titles, it contributes to the effectiveness of rights in rem, when the documents are registered in the real estate folio. To this end, it addresses concepts of property rights, aspects related to the objects and purposes of real estate registration, also outlining the main registration systems in the Brazilian legal system, such as the common system, the Torrens Registry, both governed by Law 6.015/73 and the Registration System for Rural Real Estate acquired by Foreigners regulated by Law 5.709/71.
