The papers in this collection entitled "Scientific Initiation with a Focus on Science, Politics and Health" were selected as the best articles presented in each of the thematic areas of the IX Research Meeting and XIII Scientific Initiation Meeting at Unifateb, held from October 25 to 28, 2022. Thus, both the event that gave rise to the publication and the collection presented here are part of an institutional policy to support academic research, especially scientific initiation, promoting it as an educational principle that motivates pedagogical practice in the university context, seeking to develop a permanent capacity for reconstructive questioning for human and professional training, in order to train competent individuals committed to finding solutions to the challenges of the contemporary world, who know how to find and propose solutions through research, that is, professionals with sensitivity, creativity and competence to identify problems, build and reconstruct answers.
