Its leaves are indicated as diaphoretic, carminative, stomachic, antirheumatic and anthelmintic medication orally and can also be used as compresses or mouthwashes in the treatment of stomatitis, neuralgias and headaches, as well as in the form of a poultice on boils and ulcers to induce suppuration. A moistened leaf or bruised leaves, placed on the forehead and forehead, are used to induce sleep and relieve migraines. Because its leaves have an insecticidal effect, they are applied to wounds and ulcers to prevent attacks by insects and their larvae.
