Set in Osgood, New Jersey, the twenty-four-year-old elementary teacher whose upcoming nuptials to her boyfriend of two years, David Abernathy, is abruptly canceled…by her. Afterward something terrible happens between them, which set off a chain of events. Subsequently David is forced to abandon all he knows to go on the run. While Mia's unimaginable lost steers her into a deep depression as she disconnects herself from God and those she loves. Meanwhile her grandmother, Elizabeth, a sensible and resilient matriarch of faith has an insightful dream, one she believes was shown to her as sustenance for her granddaughter. However, Mia doesn't receive it, at first, as resentment won't allow her to hope. But overtime after considering it, she decides to believe in the impossible. Included are other characters whose stories are interwoven within: deception, consternation, humor, secrets, hope, strength, and love are all a part of what makes He Is Faithful a good read. By the end, her faith is rewarded, showing her and those around her there's nothing God can't do if we trust his way and his time in doing so.
