About the author










PETER EVERWINE was born in Detroit and grew up in Western Pennsylvania. His most recent collection of poems is From the Meadow: Selected and New Poems. Previous collections include Collecting the Animals, which won the Lamont Award and was a nominee for the National Book Award, and Keeping the Night. His translations include The Static Element: Selected Poems of Nathan Zach and two letterpress collections of Aztec poetry: In the House of Light and What a Word Dreamt. He is the recipient of two Pushcart Prizes and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
