Monica Feria-Tinta, Barrister, 20 Essex Street

Monica Feria-Tinta is a barrister at 20 Essex Street in London. She specializes in public international law, conflict of laws, and international arbitration, and has acted under a variety of arbitral rules including ICSID, UNCITRAL, SIAC, and ICC. Her scholarly work has been cited before the ICJ and she received the Inge Genefke International Award in 2006 and the Gruber Justice Prize in 2007 for her work in international litigation. She was also awarded the prestigious Diploma in International law by The Hague Academy in International Law. She has written two books and a number of articles on international law, and previously taught public international law at LSE. Monica also has substantial experience in the English domestic courts. She has acted in cases before the Court of Appeal and is currently instructed in The Kenyan Emergency Group Litigation, a multi-million pound claim before the High Court of Justice. Her working languages are English, Spanish, and French.
