Laureato in Educazione Fisica (1986), specializzato in Ricerca in Educazione Fisica (1988), ha conseguito un Master in Scienze del Movimento Umano (1994) presso l'Università Federale di Santa Maria, RS, e un Dottorato in Scienze della Salute presso la Facoltà di Scienze della Salute dell'Università di Brasília (UnB). Docente presso la Facoltà di Educazione Fisica/UnB.
