About the author

Darrin Pillman, a U.S. Army Officer, spends his free time as a private pilot. His fascination with aviation began as a young child, riding his power wheels around Sacramento Executive Airport, where he would watch planes taking off and landing. After three decades, Darrin pursued his dream of becoming a private pilot, achieving this milestone in July 2022 at the age of 30. He remains dedicated to his passion, continually learning and aspiring to become an instructor pilot to mentor and motivate aspiring aviators.
