Aidan Phelan is an independent writer and is the writer and historian for A Guide to Australian Bushranging, a website that has been bringing Australia's outlaw heritage to a worldwide audience since 2017. Since 2020 he has released two editions of his novel Glenrowan, Aaron Sherritt: Persona non Grata, Bushranging Tales: Volume One, and his edit of William Westwood's autobiography, published as William Westwood In His Own Words. He is also a member of the Australian Crime Writers Association and has edited and illustrated books for other authors including Georgina Stones and Judy Lawson.
