The study found that teachers mostly used the demonstration, teacher exposition and discussion methods in teaching Geometric Construction. This could have been a result of the lack of proper instruments for use in Geometric Construction. The lack of instruments affected the performance of the teachers as well as the learning by pupils. Although the lack of instruments was a major factor in what teachers and pupils were able to do during lesson observations, inadequate teachers' mathematical knowledge for teaching the topic, as adduced from the questionnaires, seemed to be just as a major factor. The documents analyzed also showed that some teachers shun teaching the topic. Even if the topic appeared on the schemes of work, not much was said about it in the records of work.
