In this work, we will organise historical data and carry out a statistical survey of this data, based on works on trigonometry from the Department of Mathematics - CCT-UEPB. Another purpose is to give value to the history of trigonometry, creating this material to serve as a reference for those interested in this subject. We will take a historical look at trigonometry, from its emergence - what were the main needs for the development of this branch of maths, who were the first people to develop this study and how some of them treated the study of trigonometry. We will also look at some of the main mathematicians who contributed directly to the development of trigonometry.
About the author
Er hat einen Abschluss in Mathematik von der Staatlichen Universität von Paraíba (2011), eine Spezialisierung in reiner und angewandter Mathematik von der Staatlichen Universität von Paraíba (2013) und einen Master-Abschluss in Mathematik von der Bundesuniversität von Paraíba (2015). Derzeit ist er Doktorand in Mathematik an der Bundesuniversität von Paraíba.
