This work presents an alternative to water scarcity problems in various parts of the world, especially in arid and semi-arid regions where water with high salt levels predominates. Hydroponic cultivation has made it possible to produce lettuce using water with high saline concentrations to formulate the nutrient solution. This highlights the importance of hydroponic cultivation in terms of the possibility of providing decent work and, consequently, a better quality of life for the inhabitants of these regions.

Licenciada en Ingeniería Agrícola por la Universidad Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG) (2015), máster en Ingeniería Agrícola por la UFCG en el área de concentración de Riego y Drenaje (2017). Actualmente estudiante de doctorado en Irrigación y Drenaje en la UFCG. Tiene experiencia en Ingeniería Agrícola, con énfasis en Irrigación, Drenaje y Salinidad.
