The application developed in this project will be fusing a number of smartphone capabilities together harmoniously in order to achieve its intended use of providing useful support and feedback to its user while racing. The project in question is the development of an Android open source based application which will aid racing drivers in developing their driving skills quickly by providing visual, auditory and historic feedback on their performance. The application's intended use is to record and show the racing driver's racing lines, braking points, acceleration, deceleration and speeds on the whole of a dedicated racing circuit and the feedback will be achieved through the mobile device features, such as its speakers and display, as well as data being logged using SQLite and available for later analysis.
