Dr. Jelena Tomovi¿ promovierte an der Universität Potsdam am Arbeitsbereich Sozialgeschichte. Anschließend konzentrierte sie sich auf das Feld der Wissenschaftskommunikation und ist derzeit als Referentin für Presse und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit bei der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft tätig.
