The present study arose due to the increase in hospital admissions in the Nephrology service for causes related to non-compliance with medical indications, so we decided to evaluate therapeutic adherence, obtaining as main results that patients who were partially adherent to treatment prevailed, with the most significant factor being the attributions they make of the causes of non-compliance, and among these, fluid restriction and diet are the most prominent. It is necessary to promote appropriate styles of coping with the disease and also for health teams to implement psychosocial intervention strategies to help people cope with this health condition.
