Nourishing Transformations: Recipes and Stories For Loving and Living Well, makes learning palatable by combining the ingredients of a cook book with heart opening stories embedded with nutrition principles. While pretending not to be a comprehensive cook book or nutrition book, the described practices are designed to increase health for individuals and families without having to adhere to strict dietary rules or fad diet philosophies. Using higher quality ingredients and simple cooking methods, there are ideas to prepare delicious, healthy meals in 30 minutes. This book is a guide for those interested in enhancing their energy and optimizing weight balance. Creating loving and fun around the dinner table is emphasized as a good ole tradition that feeds the heart, mind and soul.

A brief summary of nutritional principles presented as 'Secret Sauces' is one example of how this book encapsulates easy ways for people to learn healthful practices. The purpose of teaching nutrition in this way is to enhance nutrient density by highlighting quality of foods consumed, and to raise awareness of how cooking methods improve absorbability. The stories lead the reader in a 'how to transform' old favorite family recipes into a higher quality nutrition. Life lessons at the end of each section, emphasize underlying meaning that individuals and families can incorporate into their lives. The book is not just a cook book or a story book. It's a healing manual for the heart. Loving is communicated in myriad of ways and is ultimately the most healing ingredient of any meal.
