Work is an activity that provides well-being and health for the worker or can trigger the process of becoming ill. The accumulation of working hours, low salaries, the accumulation of duties beyond the classroom and a multiple professional profile that distracts from the teaching-learning process would be central reasons for teachers becoming ill. This book aims to analyse the relationships between stress, psychological well-being, orientation and life satisfaction and the socio-demographic and work-related factors of public school teachers located in Brasilia, Federal District, Brazil.
