Out of a total of 26766 pack and draft equids owned by Mexican farmers, which received free veterinary service, 90 tumor masses were diagnosed in horses, 49 in donkeys, 38 in mules and one in hinnies. 103 tumors were surgically removed and sent to the pathology laboratory of the FMVZ of the UNAM for definitive diagnosis. The most frequently found neoplasm was sarcoid, donkeys were the species that presented the most tumors, followed by horses and finally acemillas, none were diagnosed in hinnies. As for sex, donkeys and mules were the most affected, mares were less affected.
