Retirement is the action by which an actively working person, whether self-employed or employed, that is, with a dependency relationship, becomes inactive, since he/she stops working for a series of reasons, such as age, work time, illness or disability, this means the definitive cessation of work, therefore, he/she stops receiving his/her monthly income as salary and starts receiving a pension from the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security IESS, this pension is for life.
