Teaching Students with Mental Health

Mental health has risen in the social consciousness of Americans in recent years.Celebrities and professional athletes have helped to bring new awareness regarding mental health with their actions. Simone Biles, an Olympic gymnast, had to withdraw from team events during the Summer Olympics Games in 2021. Singer/actress Demi Lovato has openly discussed her battles with eating disorders and bipolar disorder. These examples of celebrities openly discussing their personal experiences has helped to make mental health a more open conversation in American society (Heiser, 2021; Silva, 2021).There have been several research studies that have added to the problem space of the study.
