About the author

Shin Yu Pai is an award-winning visual artist, teacher of creative writing, and author of eleven books, most recently the poetry collection Virga (2021). Shin Yu has been a practicing Buddhist for twenty-five years and studied contemplative practice and mindfulness at Naropa University. Currently, she is the host, writer, and producer of The Ten Thousand Things, a podcast on Asian American stories for KUOW Public Radio in Seattle. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
 
Amy Wong Hope is a licensed clinical social worker and program certificate director for psychedelic studies at the New Earth Institute at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has advanced training in EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, brainspotting, internal family systems, and mindfulness, and is an MDMA-assisted therapist in private practice trained through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). She holds a Diversity, Culture and Social Justice in Psychedelics certification from Chacruna Institute and an MSW from Simmons College. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
