LIPID PROFILE - Reference values in school children living in the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Lipid profile reference values differ in different groups of people according to age, race, gender, dietary habits, among others. This book discusses the determination of lipid profile reference values in schoolchildren living in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico through a cross-sectional descriptive design. 289 schoolchildren from the metropolitan area of Guadalajara were evaluated and their lipid profile was determined by spectrophotometry. A clinical history, anthropometric measurements and determination of serum values of total cholesterol, triglycerides, C-HDL of peripheral venous blood were performed.

Master in Medical Sciences from the University of Colima in 2020, graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biology in 2011, experience in the clinical area working in hospitals and laboratories in the private sector for more than 8 years, Academic Technician and lecturer at the University of Guadalajara at present.
