Federico Witkowski is an agronomist graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the National University of Comahue, where he is a teacher and researcher, being Professor of Viticulture. He has 44 research papers presented at national and international Viticulture and Oenology congresses. He has presented a large number of journalistic and popular articles. He has been distinguished with Honourable Mention in Fruit Growing by the Uruguayan Society of Horticulture and was awarded the Distinction to the outstanding person of the year 1999 in the field: Scientist by the Municipality of Cinco Saltos, the city where he lives. He is the author of 6 books. He is also the Institutional Coordinator of the Higher Technicature in Viticulture and Oenology - a jurisdictional curricular design of which he is the author - dependent on the Ministry of Education and Human Rights of the Province of Río Negro, Patagonia Argentina.
