Our personal healing journeys are fraught with difficulty. Sometimes, we just need a little bit of support-and accountability!
Nichelle Sankey's story winds, like many of ours do, through grief and struggle that began not of her own making. Losing both parents and her sister in a short time frame while also facing intense personal and professional betrayals, she now writes from a place of deep empathy for those who have faced great losses.
With a powerful understanding, Sankey delivers this beautiful series of musings that embraces uncertainty, challenges us to confront our inner victims, and reminds us that, in spite of all that ails us, we still control the stories we speak over ourselves.
With a gentle nudge of accountability, Sankey encourages us to choose the battle over the comfort of victimhood, taking back the power in our lives. Like the lotus flower, which blooms even in the mire and mud, we can rise above what binds us and create our own paths toward hope.
From a trusted consultant in the nonprofit and volunteer sectors comes this book of axioms, affirming truths, and personal life lessons. And Then She Became Her Own Muse promises to soothe, inspire, and cultivate the fertile, healing places in all of us.
