This study evaluated the chemical profile and antioxidant activity, in an unprecedented manner, of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized from the hydroalcoholic extract (HE) of Passiflora edulis Sims seeds. The hydroalcoholic extract was used cold maceration technique and the chemical constituents were identified by HPLC-MS. The synthesis of AgNPs was performed by Ag+ reduction method of AgNO3 using HS. AgNPs were characterized in terms of chemical profile by UV-Vis spectrophotometry and particle size by DLS. Antioxidant activity was evaluated by ABTS radical decolorization method. The major constituent of HE was Genisteins (52.28%). The maximum SPR band was centered at 390 nm, indicating the characteristic peak of AgNPs. The best CI50 9.23 mg L-1 for antioxidant activity was obtained for AgNP pH 4. This study brought unprecedented results for AgNP's from Passiflora edulis, proving to be efficient in the activity assayed in this study, demonstrating also the effect of pH in these formulations.
