The branch of study that focuses on the energy, chemistry, physics, and water fluxes in the atmosphere and Earth's surface is known as hydrometeorology. Hydrometeorological hazards originate due to extreme meteorological and climatic occurrences having atmospheric, hydrological, or oceanographic origin.
