"Forlorn" is a duet of poems in multiple parts describing what it is to be alive and under the pressure of time, society and self. In "Time", the narrator tries to communicate an existential crisis that occurs in observing nature and overall the world around them. In "Illusions", the narrator shakes themselves from their former cage, their past self, and depicts themselves as a murderer while Death (the Sea) calls to them.

Hello, my name is Aspen Isil. I'm a teenage author who writes fantasy novels and poetry in my free time. I also draw and paint whenever I find the right motivation to do so, which can get very tricky because when I do it, I get sucked in and forget the world around me. When I was a child, you could find me sitting on the floor in the library, reading in between my classes, talking to the pages. As you can imagine, I've always loved to read fantasy books and inspire myself from them. In my stories and books you can expect to find the following tropes: found family, hurt/comfort, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, one bed, grumpy x sunshine. And of course, queer characters, lands full of magic of every kind, Gods who either want to drown the world or save it, and certainly, magical creatures.
