This paper is a subsidy to the activity of pedagogical supervision carried out in educational institutions, mainly in the primary and secondary subsystems, and also discusses its contribution to the professional development of the key person in the teaching and learning process, the teacher. The research reveals an important aspect regarding the pedagogical supervision carried out by external entities of the different levels of the ministry that oversees the education sector, the need to train technicians in supervisory matters, as a way of being able to avoid an inspection work that is devoid of didactic dialogue. This action of external technicians distances teachers from the supervisory activity because they fear punitive actions, not only because it is not an intelligent work, but also because it focuses on administrative aspects and not on pedagogical ones.
