The book introduces various methods of analyzing accidents and risk measurements on inland and coastal waterways transport operations, using the routes of Niger Delta Basin, Nigeria as case study. It further demonstrates the application of Contingent Valuation Methods (CVM) to revealing the preferences of users of Inland Waterways Transport, in respect of service/ infrastructure provisions and the corresponding opportunity cost. The book also laid emphasis on relevant theoretical and conceptual foundations of accident and risk, and then provides an insight to ways of ameliorating accident occurrence and as well minimizing exposures to risk of travel by water.

Elle est actuellement chargée de cours II à FUTO. Intérêts de recherche : enquêtes et analyses d'accidents.
