About the author










Bargallo is the author of four poetry collections, including Terrario (1979); El circo silencioso (1985); La soledad del polo (1990); Al margen indomable(1996); and an anthology, Po el ojo de una aguja (1999). He was a recipient of the Trusteeship from la Cultura México-USA (Rockefeller/ Bancomer/ FONCA), and is a member of the National System of Creators of Art. Gander is the author of five poetry books. In 2002, Gander published translations of Pura López Colomé and Jaime Saenz. The recipient of two Gertrude Stein Awards for Innovative North American Writing, an NEA Fellowship, and The Whiting Award for Writers, Gander co-edits the literary book press Lost Roads Publishers with C.D. Wright. He teaches at Brown University.
