The book entitled "HUMAN RIGHT TO ACCESS TO JUSTICE: ELEMENTARY COURSE IN ARBITRATION, CONCILIATION, MEDIATION AND NEGOTIATION" deals with the forms of problem solving admitted by the Brazilian legal system. These methods of conflict resolution may be known as appropriate methods, alternative methods, empowering methods, extrajudicial methods, among other expressions. Throughout the day, people are subject to having a legal conflict. For this reason, it is fundamental to study the means of solving the problem. Jurisdiction is a means, in which the State-judge analyses a concrete case and gives a decision with finality. There are methods that are made by the parties, namely: conciliation, mediation and negotiation. Arbitration is done by a third party, reliable and impartial, on a conflict involving available property rights. There is a need for education in problem-solving methods for all levels of education, since people need to know that they are protagonists in the resolution of legal conflicts. Learning about these means contributes to preventing problems and/or can avoid the aggravation of certain conflicts.
