A first-of-its-kind survey of the human body as represented in graphic design. There have been many celebrated volumes published on the history of the nude in classical art, but this will be the first book to cover the nude form and its representation in non-traditional art forms. Coming from Steven Heller and Mirko Ilic, two stars of the design world, this book will be by turns humorous and illuminating, and will be of great interest to professional graphic designers as well as design fans.

This curated survey of more than 600 images shows how graphic designers have pushed the classic traditions of nude figure painting and drawing in to new realms via magazine covers, film and theater posters, book jackets, advertisements, and other forms of media from around the world.
