About the author










H. Newton Malony, M. Div, Ph.D., is retired Senior Professor of psychology in the Graduate School of Psychology of Fuller Theological Seminary and founding editor of the International Journal for the Psychology of Religion. Newton Malony is a Protestant Clergy in addition to being a clinical psychologist. He is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and is author/editor of over 35 books - most of which concern issues in Christian Theology. Edward P. Shafranske, Ph.D., ABPP, is Professor of psychology at Pepperdine University, senior faculty at the New Center for Psychoanalysis, and fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association. He served as associate editor of the APA Handbook of Psychology, Religion, and Spirituality.
