About the author










Dan Urman, Ph.D. (1979) New York University, is Senior Lecturer at Ben-Gurion University. He has directed numerous surveys and excavations in Israel, and has published books on the Golan and the Shephelah in the Roman and Byzantine periods.
Paul V.M. Flesher, Ph.D. (1988) Brown University, directs Religious Studies at the University of Wyoming. He has published on synagogues, targums, and early Rabbinic Judaism.
