About the author










P. M. Michèle Daviau, Ph.D. (1990, University of Toronto) is retired Professor of Near Eastern Archaeology at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has directed and published three volumes on the excavations at Tall Jawa, Jordan (2002, 2003, 2010), and directs the Wadi ath-Thamad Project of excavation and survey in northern Moab.

James R. Battenfield, Ph.D. was Supervisor of the Madaba Plains Project Survey in 1989 and subsequently a team member of the Tall Jawa Project.

Susan Ellis, Ph.D was a team members of the Tall Jawa Project and director of ethnographic research.

Peter R. W. Popkin, Ph.D. (University College London) was a supervisor at Khirbat al-Mudayna (Thamad) and responsible for analysis of the faunal collections from Tall Jawa and Mudayna Thamad.
