The aim of this reference work is to make African human rights law accessible to all those involved in or interested in human rights law on the continent in order to strengthen its impact.

Christof Heyns is Professor of Human Rights Law and Director of the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria.
Morne van der Linde is a Researcher at the Centre for Human Rights and heads the Environmental Programme at the Centre.
