About the author










Gregorio del Olmo Lete, Ph.D. (Semitics, 1972), Universidad Complutense (Madrid), is Emeritus Professor at Barcelona University. He has published monographs and many articles on Semitics and on Ugaritic lexicography and literature, including Mitos y leyendas de Canaán(Ediciones Cristiandad 1981) and Canaanite Religion (Ugarit-Verlag 2014).

Joaquín Sanmartín, Ph.D. (Semitics, 1978), Biblical Institute (Rome), is Emeritus Professor at Barcelona University. He has published many studies on Akkadian, Hurrian and Ugaritic lexicography and grammar, as well as text editions including Die keilalphabetischen Texte aus Ugarit, Ras Ibn Hani und anderen Orten (KTU, Ugarit-Verlag 2013, co-edited with M. Dietrich/O. Loretz).
