About the author

Linda Summerford is an award-winning author and dedicated advocate for foster care and adoption reform. Residing in the mountains of Western North Carolina with her husband Richard, she has served on the Lexington County Foster Care Review Board and a South Carolina governor-appointed task force aimed at improving child welfare systems. As President of Word Weavers in Maggie Valley, NC, Linda continues to inspire and mentor writers, drawing from her personal experiences to effect positive change in the lives of children and families
