If you want to work with groups you need to know what happens in a group, we call it group dynamics; secondly you have to know how a program must be build up with a group or what is the methodology of working with a group and next what specific qualities and skills the groups worker must have. Of course must the group worker also have a good knowledge of communication; for this I like to refer to my manual on verbal and nonverbal communication.In this manual I try to explain all these items, and offer an example of a training program for social workers in the Netherlands. Also you can find models for evaluation and examples of exercises that you can make.This manual is made for those who want to work with groups in a professional way.
