It seems that reason is less a universal principle than something inherently bound to the contexts in which it appears. The contributions gathered here were held at a conference on the occasion of Christoph Schwöbel's 60th birthday. They explore the character of reason's manifold contexts: the grounding of reason in the inner word of God's Trinitarian life as well as the disclosure of reason and its limits in human conversation.
