The fifth of Cv's English County Guides Norfolk is characterised by the breadth and variation of its countryside: known for its arched skies and expansive landscape. In a series of journeys that criss-crossed the county, author Nicholas James recorded over one hundred villages and market towns, ranging from Cromer to Hunstanton on the 'Norfolk Riviera', to the King's Lynn by 'The Wash'. He also visited Wroxham and Hoveton, centre of the Broads, and many lesser known hamlets nestling deep in this fascinating and historic part of East England. Further information is provided by local specialists: Malcolm Carter gives the story of Norwich Cathedral; and Joy, the official guide to Nelson's birthplace at Burnham Thorpe. The book includes side bars of useful information, with route maps and a comprehensive directory of local services.
Cv Publications' continuing series of English County Guides provides a comprehensive survey of towns and villages for visitors and those interested in moving to a different area. Writers make eye-witness reports, noting their natural and historical character, properties, amenities and links. Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire and Cornwall .
