Francisco Fernández en Ventanas a la Gestalt, echando mano de escritos de filósofos, educadores, poetas y artistas, propone acercarnos a esta corriente psicológica desde cuatro ventanas: el modo de mirar, una óptica; la manera de sentir, es decir una estética; un camino para responder, la ética, y la forma de ir al encuentro, una erótica. Pensar a la terapia desde estas cuatro ventanas, y además con miradas ajenas a los postulados clásicos que la guían, amplía de forma descomunal el entendimiento de lo que sucede entre los pacientes y el gestaltista en el consultorio.
In Ventanas a la Gestalt ("Windows to Gestalt"), Francisco Fernández draws on the writings of philosophers, educators, poets, and artists to propose an approach to Gestalt psychology through four metaphorical windows: a way of seeing--an optics; a way of feeling--an aesthetics; a path for responding--an ethics; and a way of encountering--an erotics. Viewing therapy through these four windows, and incorporating perspectives outside the classical tenets that traditionally guide Gestalt therapy, vastly expands the understanding of what occurs between patients and the Gestalt therapist in the consulting room.

Francisco Fernández Romero es educador, sexólogo y psicoterapeuta, centrado en temas de educación humanista, trabajo vivencial con grupos, sexualidad, alteridad, literatura, psicoterapia y las experiencias estéticas como recurso terapéutico. Estudió Pedagogía en la Universidad Panamericana (UP), la maestría en Sensibilización Educativa con Enfoque en el Instituto Humanista de Psicoterapia Gestalt (IHPG) y el posgrado internacional Escrituras: Creatividad humana y Comunicación en la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO).
Francisco Fernández Romero is an educator, sexologist, and psychotherapist. He focuses on issues of education, experiential work with groups, sexuality, otherness, literature, psychotherapy, and aesthetic experiences. He studied pedagogy at the Universidad Panamericana (UP), received a master's degree in focused educational awareness at the Humanist Institute of Gestalt Psychotherapy (IHPG) and attended the international postgraduate course Writings: Human Creativity and Communication at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO).
