In days of the old West, life was challenging, dangerous, and lonely. Many young men went west to seek their fortune by themselves.
Arranged marriages were big business in the mid 1800's. Thousands of women headed west each year and hoped to find the man of their dreams.
The "pick-in's" in the east were limited, and word had it the outdoorsy men of the wild west were strong, handsome, virile, and potentially rich.
But a magical turtle, an Indian princess and a simple cut log create one mystical journey and unforeseen outcome.

Jerry Hughes, born in Norwood, Massachusetts, was the oldest of six Welsh-Irish kids.He has two grown sons and three granddaughters, and lives in Key West, Florida with his sweetheart Karen Frank-Noll and trusty cat Greyson.This story came to him in a dream and he hopes you will enjoy it!
