The use of mini-implants, mini-screws or also called micro-screws, is being widely used during the mechanics, independently of the Orthodontic Technique. This device was developed by several professionals with the objective of providing better anchorage during the different moments of treatment, for example, in the case of premolar extraction, among others. The Mini-implants help in the treatment in the sense of moving the teeth while preserving the desired space, Rotations, Translations, Distalizations, Retractions, auxiliary appliances in the expansion of the palatine root, among others. The I.M. also facilitate mechanics in the sense that they support forces exerted by elastics, whether they are in chains or elastics destined to the use of unitary forces. Thus, these devices of absolute anchorage, provided they are well planned and within the correct technique of implementation, are a great help to professionals who work with Orthodontics and who seek quality and excellence in their treatments.
