Water is an elixir of the body, a primary need of all living organisms. It is a valuable commodity available in very limited quantities to man and other living beings. The fresh water must be recognized as the Blood of Society (Wetzel, 2000). It is one of the main agents in paedogenesis and is the medium of several different ecosystems.
