For the analysis of Rosuvastatin calcium, a specific and uncomplicated HPLC method was devised and validated. Rosuvastatin calcium belongs to the statin family, which is a reductase inhibitor for 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA). The medication is used to treat hypertension and ischemic coronary artery disease. It is also used to treat dyslipidemia and aid in the reduction of "bad cholesterol" levels. The technique was carried out on a C18 Column (250 4.6mm 1.d; 5) in isocratic mode with the mobile phase acetonitrile and water in the ratio 75:25 v/v. The wavelength is 242 nm, and the flow rate is 0.6 milliliters per minute. The linearity was discovered between 10 and 60mig/ml, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9998. The medication has a 3.643 retention time. Because the suggested method is simple, quick, accurate, precise, and repeatable, it can be used for routine quality control analysis of rosuvastatin in both pure and tablet dosage forms.
