Sedentary behaviour and poor eating habits are associated with the development of chronic low-grade inflammation, which is a metabolic process characteristic of several chronic degenerative and/or non-transmissible diseases (CNCDs), including cancer. For this reason, the scientific community has discussed the application of physical exercise (PE) as a non-pharmacological strategy for cancer prevention. Physical exercise significantly reduces the risk of some cancers (colon, prostate, lung, breast, among others). There are several benefits of PE aimed at the prevention of this pathology, including: improved hemoglobin levels, better weight control, increased immune system, increased activity of Natural Killers cells, etc. Among the various attributions of the Physical Education Professional, health promotion and disease prevention may be the most important practices related to these professionals. Therefore, the importance of these professionals regarding the prophylactic factors related to cancer.
