This case study consists of a diagnosis of the reality of the inclusion of deaf students in regular classrooms of the municipal school of elementary education "Dom Alonso", in the city of Soure PA. It aims, from the diagnosis, to problematize the integration of these students, their main challenges and advances through the process of teaching and learning. The study is based primarily on the publications of Mantoan, among other scholars of inclusion, the history of deafness and education, in addition to national and international official documents that ensure everyone the right to education in the regular education system. The approach adopted in the exploratory research prioritized qualitative research method. The research subjects were three deaf students, their respective teachers and their guardians, and the Special Education Coordinator of the municipality of Soure.

Danielle D. da Silva has a degree in Licenciatura Plena em Ciências Naturais, com habilitação em Física, pela Univ. do Estado do Pará (2013); student of the bachelor's degree course in Environmental Engineering and Renewable Energy at the Univ. Federal Rural da Amazônia; participant in the Group of Socio-Environmental Research and Studies in the Amazon (GPGESA).
